Construction Supervisor – Estimating

About the role

Amentum is seeking a BOSC Construction Supervisor to lead cost estimating for construction and engineering projects. The role involves preparing accurate labor, equipment, subcontractor and material cost proposals and mentoring junior estimators.

Key responsibilities

• Estimate labor, equipment, subcontract, ODC and material costs based on RFP data.
• Participate in sequencing construction activities and analyze specifications, blueprints and bills of material.
• Collect cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors and vendors.
• Prepare and maintain historical cost data and create cost models.
• Revise estimates when project scope changes and assist subject‑matter experts in BOE development.
• Mentor less‑experienced estimators and act as liaison between estimating and other functional departments.
• Provide QA/QC support to the estimating process and review manufacturing parts lists.
• Research technical manuals and parts lists, prepare final estimates for domestic and international proposals, and interface with government auditors.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum four years of construction or government estimation experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, costs and procedures across heavy construction, electrical, plumbing and masonry work.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to coordinate multiple concurrent tasks.
