About the role
The HACCP Manager will be based in Kampala and will lead Holiday Avenue’s food safety programme across all hospitality operations. Reporting to senior management, the role ensures that every food and beverage service meets the highest standards of safety, quality and regulatory compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and monitor HACCP plans and food safety procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to verify compliance with local and international regulations.
- Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of critical control points, corrective actions and monitoring records.
- Design and deliver training programmes for staff on food safety, hygiene and quality standards.
- Lead food safety initiatives, investigate incidents and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with kitchen, service and procurement teams to resolve safety concerns.
- Report performance metrics and compliance status to senior leadership.
Required profile
- Proven experience in food safety and HACCP implementation within hospitality or food‑service environments.
- Background in customer service and food & beverage operations.
- Strong leadership, team‑working and problem‑solving abilities.
- Organisational skills with a focus on detail and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of Ugandan and international food safety regulations is an advantage.
