Insurance Supervisor

About the role

The Insurance Supervisor will lead the claims department of Henrob Hospital, ensuring that all medical and non‑medical insurance claims are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with payer requirements. This role combines detailed audit work, coordination with insurers, and supervision of billing staff to minimise rejections and optimise revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Review medical and non‑medical errors on each claim and verify completeness of all claim forms.
• Ensure doctor prescriptions match diagnoses and that all required signatures are present.
• Submit IPD, theatre, and other hospital invoices with appropriate payment guarantees.
• Process all monthly insurer claims by the 5th of each month and obtain remittance advice.
• Compile daily and monthly reports on invoicing, vetting, rejections and reconciliations.
• Conduct daily system audits to confirm correct billing entries in Eafya and third‑party billing systems.
• Supervise claim preparation, submission, follow‑up, appeals and resubmissions.
• Communicate rejection trends to responsible officers and drive corrective actions.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 24 months of experience in medical insurance claims or hospital billing.
• Strong understanding of insurance regulations, payer timelines and hospital invoicing processes.
• Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
