Quality Control Manager

About the role

Microhaem Scientifics is building Africa's first 4th‑generation IVD manufacturing plant and seeks an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead the QC function. You will ensure that all products and processes meet the highest quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement rigorous quality control protocols for laboratory processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee release testing, stability programs, method transfers, and validation activities.
• Supervise and coordinate the quality control team, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections of laboratory processes and equipment, identifying risks and defining mitigation strategies.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation on QC activities, findings, and recommendations for senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of quality control experience in the medical or diagnostic laboratory industry.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and standards applicable to medical laboratories.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
