Warehouse Checker – Inventory & Stock Control

About the role

The Checker is responsible for counting, checking and verifying loads in a warehouse environment. You will ensure accurate stock movements, maintain inventory quality, and support safe loading and unloading operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily stock counts using handheld devices and generate variance reports.
• Verify and reconcile digital or manual invoices, POS payments and internal stock movements.
• Maintain warehouse housekeeping, health, safety and environmental standards (5S, PPE).
• Apply FEFO/ FIFO principles to ensure proper stock rotation and age compliance.
• Load and unload vehicles, confirm quantities on trucks, and record returns accurately.
• Document and sign load plans, ensuring all required parties (picker, operator, driver, security) approve.
• Investigate stock deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Update beer‑age and FIFO/FEFO trackers, monitor digital journey and stock master usage.

Required profile

• Ability to follow health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Attention to detail for accurate counting and documentation.
• Good communication with inventory, warehouse and logistics teams.
• Willingness to work onsite in a fast‑paced warehouse environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with handheld inventory devices.
• Experience using ERP systems for stock movements.
• Familiarity with POS systems and invoice reconciliation.
