Aftersales Engineer – Solar Systems

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Aftersales Engineer to support our solar energy solutions across Uganda. The role combines field troubleshooting, customer support and technical training to ensure optimal performance of our solar installations.

Key responsibilities

• Test and diagnose inverters, lithium batteries, MPPTs and solar street lights.
• Handle warranty claims and returns, producing clear technical reports.
• Provide phone and WhatsApp technical support to clients and installers.
• Train clients, installers and the internal sales team on proper product use and installation.
• Assemble solar protection boxes and ensure safe AC and DC wiring practices.
• Conduct site visits for troubleshooting, optimization and performance verification of solar systems.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics, Renewable Energy or a related field.
• At least 0.5 years of practical experience with solar or electrical systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and solder electronic circuits.
• Strong understanding of DC design and AC wiring for solar installations.
• Valid driving permit and willingness to travel up‑country for field assignments.

Required skills

• Inverter testing and diagnostics.
• Lithium‑battery and MPPT troubleshooting.
• Soldering electronic circuits.
• Use of multimeter, clamp meter and other diagnostic tools.
• Reading and interpreting single‑line diagrams.
• Assembly of solar protection boxes and safe AC/DC wiring.
