About the role
The Air Operations Officer (P3) is based in the Forward Support and Deployment Hub (FSDH) in Entebbe, Uganda. Reporting to the Chief of FSDH, the officer contributes to the United Nations Secretariat’s logistics and supply chain functions.
Key responsibilities
- Provide regional and global freight forwarding and air cargo operations for UN clients.
- Offer direction and advice on supply chain planning and logistical matters.
- Monitor and assess delivery of strategic transportation and support services.
- Direct delivery of transportation and specialist support services for air transport, surface transport, engineering, medical, and supply categories.
Required profile
- Professional experience in air transport operations and logistics within an international or UN context.
- Ability to work within a multi‑disciplinary logistics division and coordinate with various UN offices.
