Assistant F&B Manager

About the role

The Assistant F&B Manager supports the Food & Beverage Manager in delivering exceptional service across all dining outlets. This role ensures that operations meet budgetary targets, service standards, and guest satisfaction goals in a fast‑paced hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in driving an enhanced guest experience and maintaining high service quality.
• Ensure compliance with operational procedures, food safety, and health regulations.
• Oversee accuracy of financial transactions at all points of sale and reconcile invoices.
• Collaborate with the F&B Manager to develop initiatives that increase revenue, including upselling and cross‑selling.
• Maintain relationships with major groups, corporate clients, and event planners.
• Support banquet planning, event coordination, and execution.
• Monitor inventory, beverage costing, purchasing, and stock control to manage costs.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience as an Assistant F&B Manager or Restaurant Manager in a 4‑star/5‑star hotel or high‑volume restaurant.
• Diploma or degree in Hospitality/Hotel Management or a related field.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team‑building abilities.
• Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and customer‑service skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Required skills

• Hands‑on knowledge of food and beverage operations, including wine, spirits, and cocktail service.
• Experience with banquet planning and event execution.
• Proficiency in POS systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of inventory management, cost control, and purchasing processes.
