Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

The Assistant F&B Manager supports daily restaurant and bar operations, including room service where applicable. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager and Chef, this role helps maintain high standards of food quality, sanitation, and guest satisfaction while contributing to staff training and budget goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in supervising restaurant shifts, handling employee queries, and providing performance feedback.
• Ensure all staff have necessary supplies, equipment, uniforms, and that sanitation standards are met.
• Communicate food‑quality or service issues to the Chef and Restaurant Manager.
• Monitor compliance with alcohol service laws and internal policies.
• Manage budgetary targets, open and close shifts, and perform duties across restaurant areas as needed.
• Interact with guests to gather feedback, resolve complaints, and promote exceptional service.
• Support ongoing training initiatives and coach employees on performance expectations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of food‑and‑beverage experience, **or** a 2‑year degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, etc., with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to supervise staff, handle guest issues, and maintain operational standards.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
