Calibration Specialist

About the role

Terya Building and Construction Limited is seeking a Calibration Specialist to join its Calibration Laboratory in Kampala. You will work with electronic measurement and speed‑enforcement systems, receiving comprehensive on‑the‑job training to develop expertise in this niche field.

Key responsibilities

• Perform calibration and verification of electronic measurement and speed‑enforcement equipment.
• Operate calibration tools and reference measurement instruments.
• Conduct practical testing, record results and analyse data.
• Assist with setup and testing of electronic systems in both laboratory and field locations.
• Prepare technical records, worksheets and calibration documentation.
• Carry out basic troubleshooting of electronic devices and diagnose simple computer, communication and networking issues.
• Follow laboratory procedures, technical instructions and quality standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation, Telecommunications, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, IT or a closely related discipline.
• Basic understanding of electronics and computer systems.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting and English communication skills.
