Data Engineer

About the role

Reporting to the Head of Data & Insights, the Data Engineer will integrate data from multiple sources, develop data pipelines, manage ETL/ELT processes, improve data quality, and support enterprise-wide analytics and governance initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines to ingest data from multiple sources into the data warehouse.
• Develop and optimise ETL/ELT processes for efficient data orchestration.
• Design datasets that meet business intelligence and analytics requirements.
• Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive analytics.
• Research and implement data management best practices, including Master Data Management (MDM).
• Improve data quality, consistency, and reliability.
• Identify opportunities for data acquisition and enhancement.
• Develop analytical tools and programs to support data exploration.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analytics teams on data‑driven projects.
• Support the Data Protection Officer in personal data protection initiatives and staff training.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related quantitative/IT field.
• At least 2 years' experience working with multiple data sources in an IT, finance or similarly data‑intensive environment.
