Data Entry Operator

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Data Entry Operator to join our finance team in Kampala. The role focuses on entering loan payment information accurately and maintaining up‑to‑date client records.

Key responsibilities

• Enter client loan payments into the loan management system in real time or same‑day.
• Assist with reconciling payment records against bank statements and client accounts.
• Monitor and update client account statuses to prevent incorrect default flags.
• Perform regular updates to client records, loan schedules and related databases.
• Maintain organized physical and digital filing of payment receipts and verification documents.
• Identify and report data discrepancies, duplicate entries or anomalies.
• Generate daily, weekly and monthly reports on payment entries and data accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and data protection regulations.
• Respond to internal queries about payment status and coordinate with finance and collections teams.
• Support the verification team by preparing documents and data summaries for loan approval.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Administration, IT, Accounting, Records Management or related field.
• 3‑4 years of data entry or records management experience, preferably in banking, finance or micro‑finance.
• Familiarity with loan management systems, banking software or ERP systems is an advantage.
