Demand Planner Uganda

About the role

As a Demand Planner for Glovo’s Micro Fulfillment Centers (MFCs) in Uganda, you will ensure the right products are available at the right time while minimizing waste. You will work closely with category, marketing and operations teams to translate business needs into accurate demand forecasts and purchase orders.

Key responsibilities

• Improve forecast accuracy using historical sales data, promotions, seasonal trends and new product introductions.
• Collaborate with category management, marketing and operations to align forecasts with supply‑chain capabilities.
• Maintain purchasing tool parameters such as safety stock levels and holiday calendars.
• Create and monitor purchase orders, ensuring timely supplier deliveries.
• Enhance supplier performance by addressing fill‑rate issues, delays and incidents.
• Track and report supply‑chain KPIs for the Ugandan market.
• Analyze inventory, turnover, shrinkage and other metrics to identify risks and opportunities.
• Develop and execute action plans to optimise processes, reduce costs and improve overall supply‑chain efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Supply Chain or Operations.
• At least two years of relevant experience in demand or supply planning.
• Strong business judgment and excellent written and oral communication skills.
