Driver – Full-Time

About the role

The Hospital seeks a reliable driver to provide safe transport for staff, patients, and goods using the hospital’s vehicles. The role involves operating, maintaining and securing vehicles while supporting the hospital’s spiritual ministry activities.

Key responsibilities

• Transport staff, patients, visitors and supplies in accordance with hospital policies and traffic laws.
• Perform daily vehicle checks, routine maintenance, log trips, and ensure timely renewal of licences and insurance.
• Carry out hospital errands, attend meetings, and participate in spiritual ministry programmes.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, secure parking and report any malfunctions.

Required profile

• Uganda Certificate of Education with pass in English; valid driving licence (C1, C, D1, D).
• 3‑5 years of clean driving record in a NGO or healthcare setting.
• Good knowledge of traffic rules, ability to work odd hours and stay overnight when needed.
• Basic computer literacy and ability to communicate in English and another language.

• Map reading and navigation.
