Driver (m/f) – Kampala, Uganda

About the role

The driver will provide safe and reliable transport services for Mota‑Engil staff in Kampala, ensuring punctual pick‑ups and deliveries while maintaining the vehicle in accordance with company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up and drop off employees according to schedules and appointments.
• Perform errands such as delivering and collecting mail or packages.
• Conduct pre‑trip checks of lights, brakes, horns, windshield wipers and other equipment.
• Assist staff with entering and exiting the vehicle and handling luggage.
• Maintain vehicle basics: tire pressure, fuel, oil and water levels.
• Carry out minor repairs (e.g., cleaning spark plugs) and arrange servicing when needed.
• Keep the interior clean and the exterior washed and polished.
• Complete accident reports and any other tasks assigned by the supervisor.

Required profile

• Valid government‑approved driving licence.
• At least three years of professional driving experience.
• UACE or equivalent educational qualification.
• Defensive driving certificate (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
