Driver / Operator (Firefighting Apparatus)

About the role

The Driver / Operator will be a fully trained member of the firefighting team, responsible for safely operating fire‑fighting apparatus and related equipment during emergencies and training drills.

Key responsibilities

• Drive firefighting vehicles to and from incident scenes in compliance with local laws and regulations.
• Operate pumps, power units and other mechanical equipment on the apparatus.
• Maintain inventory of tools, equipment and supplies on the vehicle.
• Clean, service and perform routine maintenance on the apparatus, reporting any mechanical issues.
• Conduct post‑response inventory checks and complete required documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience, preferably at a US Military installation (Air Force preferred).
• Experience working in austere OCONUS environments with multinational teams.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and customer‑service abilities.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain necessary clearances.
• Valid driver’s license, passport (minimum one‑year validity) and, if required, appropriate visas.
