Electrical Engineer

About the role

TERYA Building and Construction Limited is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead design, installation supervision, testing and commissioning for a wide range of building, infrastructure and energy projects across Uganda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop electrical designs for power distribution, switchgear, standby generation, solar PV and energy storage systems.
• Supervise installation activities on site, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Perform testing, commissioning and earthing/protection coordination for all electrical works.
• Collaborate with civil, mechanical, automation and quality teams, and liaise with clients and consultants.
• Guide technicians and contractors, reviewing calculations and drawings to guarantee project performance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years (24 months) of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Ability to work on multidisciplinary projects and communicate with diverse stakeholders.
• Willingness to develop professionally towards senior or specialist roles.
