Electrical Technician

About the role

The Electrical Technician will join Evergreen Wood Industries' operations team in Kampala, supporting the manufacturing and maintenance of electrical systems across the plant. This full‑time position offers hands‑on work with a focus on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement of equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble, evaluate, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, including motors and related components.
• Construct and fabricate parts using hand tools according to specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Advise management on the continued use of unsuitable equipment and recommend replacements.
• Order electrical supplies and equipment as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Mid‑level qualification with at least 36 months of relevant experience.
• Ability to work on-site in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
