Fabrication Engineer

About the role

The Fabrication Engineer will lead and support metal‑component fabrication at Soleil Power’s Kirolo Production Site. This hands‑on engineering position combines technical execution with day‑to‑day supervision of a small team of technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Cut, bend, weld, drill, grind, finish and assemble metal parts such as enclosures, battery cases and mounting structures.
• Operate and supervise CNC equipment including press brakes, fiber laser cutters, welding machines, grinders, drill presses and press‑fit machines.
• Create, edit and interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, bend drawings and flat‑patterns.
• Set up CNC parameters, review nesting, tooling selection and material settings; troubleshoot basic machine issues.
• Apply and oversee welding techniques for mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Allocate daily work, coach technicians and monitor workmanship to meet dimensional and structural specifications.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 5 years of hands‑on metal fabrication experience.
• Proven ability to operate CNC press brakes and laser cutters and to program basic CNC parameters.
• Strong practical welding knowledge across multiple metals.
• Experience supervising a small team of fabrication technicians.
