Field Collections & Recoveries Officer – Uganda

About the role

Pezesha Africa is looking for a results‑driven Field Collections & Recoveries Officer to boost portfolio recoveries through direct, on‑ground customer engagement. This commission‑based position offers a performance‑focused compensation structure for candidates with collections experience who thrive on achieving measurable results.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field visits to follow up on non‑responsive and long‑overdue accounts.
• Negotiate repayment plans and restructuring arrangements where appropriate.
• Capture and report real‑time field insights to support portfolio management and credit decisions.
• Serve demand letters and collaborate with the legal team on recovery actions.
• Drive recovery targets through consistent customer engagement and face‑to‑face interactions.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, commitments, and recovery actions.

Required profile

• Prior experience in collections, recoveries, debt management, or a related field.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Capability to handle difficult customer conversations professionally.
• Willingness to travel extensively for field visits.
• High levels of integrity, accountability, resilience, and self‑motivation.
