Field Manager – Insurance Sales

About the role

The Field Manager will lead a network of team leaders and field sales agents across a designated region in Uganda. You will be responsible for driving customer acquisition, ensuring sales quality, and safeguarding against mis‑selling and fraud in a commission‑driven distribution model.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, and retain team leaders and field agents; provide product, sales and compliance training.
• Maintain accurate records of agents, ensuring proper appointment and licensing.
• Coach agents through field accompaniment, feedback and performance improvement plans.
• Achieve and exceed regional targets for new customers, active policies and premium collection.
• Plan territory coverage, deploy agents, and monitor daily/weekly performance.
• Identify high‑potential selling locations and negotiate necessary agreements.
• Ensure every sale is made to an eligible, informed customer and that key feature statements are provided at point of sale.
• Detect and act against agent fraud or mis‑selling.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years (36 months) of experience in field sales, preferably within insurance or financial services.
• Proven ability to lead and develop sales teams in a distributed environment.
• Strong understanding of compliance, licensing and fraud‑prevention practices.
• Excellent analytical skills to track performance and redeploy resources.
