About the role
The Sales Officer will identify potential clients and convert them into advertisers for the Brythos Africa magazine. This is a results‑driven, commission‑based position that involves field work with occasional office reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and prospect potential advertisers and clients.
- Approach businesses, organisations and individuals to present advertising opportunities.
- Negotiate and book advertising space using the approved order paper.
- Follow up clients for advertising content, Local Purchase Orders and payment documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, bookings, client communication and sales progress.
- Build positive relationships, seek repeat business and referrals.
- Meet agreed sales and revenue targets and provide regular sales updates.
Required profile
- Motivated and energetic.
- Commercially minded with strong persuasion skills.
- Confident in approaching businesses and closing sales.
