Financial Inclusion Officer – Katwe

About the role

FINCA Uganda is seeking a motivated Financial Inclusion Officer to drive micro‑finance outreach in the Katwe area of Kampala. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to design and execute sales, marketing, and training activities that expand access to group‑lending products.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑create monthly sales and marketing plans for targeted catchment locations, including community drives and door‑to‑door campaigns.
• Develop and deliver a monthly three‑session training package for potential group‑lending customers.
• Conduct financial‑literacy workshops and educate clients on FINCA’s Self‑Managed Group product methodology.
• Guide groups in selecting leaders, establishing governance principles, and maintaining accurate records.
• Assess group readiness for FINCA financial services and provide weekly progress reports to the Branch Manager.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business, Marketing, Education or a related field.
• Fluency in English and the local language spoken in the area of operation.
• Ability to ride a motorcycle for field visits.
• Strong sales, marketing, and customer‑service orientation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem‑solving, time‑management and accuracy skills.
