Graduate Production Trainee

About the role

We are looking for a Graduate Production Trainee to join our manufacturing site in Kampala. The role offers hands‑on exposure to pharmaceutical production processes, quality assurance coordination and compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Production Supervisor in supervising section activities, monitoring staff attendance and adherence to procedures.
• Support the implementation of production plans, scheduling and workflow management.
• Coordinate daily production activities with the Quality Assurance department and prepare shift records and monthly reports.
• Help manage consumables and production materials, ensuring proper usage, recording and accountability.
• Monitor product quality against specifications and assist in reporting non‑conformities.
• Participate in cGMP training and other relevant training programmes.
• Identify operational challenges and support corrective actions to meet production targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Entry‑level graduate with willingness to learn in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Understanding of cGMP principles.
• Operation of production equipment.
• Material handling and inventory tracking.
• Basic quality monitoring and reporting.
