Head of Sales Network

About the role

As Head of Sales Network at Jumia Group in Kampala, you will drive the company’s market expansion strategy across Uganda, identifying new opportunities and leading entry initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic market expansion plans, including identifying new market opportunities and defining entry strategies.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to assess market dynamics, customer needs and regulatory environment.
• Prioritize target markets based on size, growth potential, competition and alignment with company objectives.
• Design and implement market entry plans covering segmentation, customer profiling, distribution channels, pricing and promotional tactics.
• Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, industry associations, distributors, suppliers and strategic partners.
• Collaborate with sales, product development, operations and finance teams to ensure coordinated expansion efforts.
• Manage expansion budgets, allocate resources and track expenses to ensure cost‑effective execution.
• Monitor performance metrics, report progress to senior management and mitigate risks related to compliance, operations and competition.
