Human Resource Trainee (Full-time, Kampala)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Human Resource Trainee to join our team in Kampala on a full‑time basis. The trainee will support the HR function while gaining hands‑on experience through our Graduate Professionals Apprenticeship Program (GPAP).

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job ads, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
• Support the onboarding process by conducting orientations and preparing documentation.
• Help implement HR policies and procedures across the organization.
• Administer employee benefits and assist with payroll related queries.
• Contribute to employee relations initiatives and HR projects as needed.

Required profile

• Background in a management‑related study (e.g., Human Resources, Business Administration).
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Interest in enterprise development, technology innovation, and startup environments.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HR management principles and policies.
• Familiarity with recruitment processes and employee relations.
• Understanding of employee benefits and personnel administration.
