Human Resource Trainee

About the role

The Human Resource Trainee position starts on 1 September 2026 and is based on‑site in Kampala. As part of TechBuzz Hub’s Graduate Professionals Apprenticeship Program, the role offers hands‑on experience in core HR functions while you earn and develop professional skills.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting vacancies, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.
• Conduct new‑employee orientations and support onboarding processes.
• Implement HR policies and ensure compliance with internal guidelines.
• Administer employee benefits and handle related inquiries.
• Support employee‑relations initiatives and resolve routine queries.
• Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as directed by senior staff.

Required profile

• Background in a management‑related academic program (e.g., Human Resources, Business Administration).
• Pursuing or completed studies in HR, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong interest in enterprise development and technology innovation.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HR management principles and policies.
• Understanding of employee benefits and personnel management.
• Familiarity with recruitment processes and employee‑relations practices.
