IB Psychology & Sociology Teacher (MYP/DP) – Kampala

About the role

Our client, a well‑established international school in Kampala, is seeking an enthusiastic teacher to deliver Psychology and Sociology across the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The role combines classroom teaching with active participation in the wider school community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess inquiry‑based Psychology and Sociology lessons for MYP and DP students.
• Maintain excellent classroom management and foster a supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and contribute to school initiatives.
• Participate in student welfare, safeguarding duties and parent communication.
• Engage in continuous professional development and IB curriculum updates.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or valid teaching licence).
• Experience teaching Psychology and/or Sociology within the IB MYP and DP or a comparable secondary curriculum.
• Relevant degree in Psychology, Sociology or a closely related field.
• Commitment to high‑quality teaching, student wellbeing and safeguarding.
