Instrumentation Commissioning Supervisor

About the role

The Instrumentation Commissioning Supervisor will lead all instrumentation commissioning activities for a major oil & gas pipeline project, ensuring safe and efficient start‑up of pressure, temperature, flow and analytical systems. The role is rotational between Tanzania and Uganda and reports to the project commissioning manager.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the commissioning of instrumentation systems across the pipeline.
• Coordinate field activities with contractors, operations teams and local workforce.
• Perform loop checking, calibration verification and functional testing of instruments.
• Validate test records, commissioning dossiers and support start‑up troubleshooting.
• Promote and enforce HSE policies, conduct field safety inspections and ensure risk mitigation.

Required profile

• Degree or technical diploma in Instrumentation or Automation.
• Minimum 8–10 years of commissioning experience in oil & gas or pipeline projects.
• Strong knowledge of field instrumentation and commissioning procedures.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
