Insurance Sales Agent

About the role

The Insurance Sales Agent will prospect new clients, present insurance products and services, and close sales in line with the agency’s growth objectives. The role combines client‑facing activities, record‑keeping and collaboration with the sales manager and marketing team.

Key responsibilities

• Identify prospective clients and schedule face‑to‑face meetings.
• Present insurance solutions, prepare proposals and negotiate terms.
• Close sales and ensure accurate documentation of each transaction.
• Follow up on leads, respond to client inquiries and provide ongoing customer service.
• Maintain detailed records of interactions, proposals and sales outcomes.
• Participate in training sessions and contribute to local advertising and promotional activities.

Required profile

• Strong communication and customer‑service skills with the ability to build long‑term relationships.
• Proven sales experience in a target‑driven environment, preferably in Uganda.
• Willingness to learn insurance products and apply them in client conversations.
• Comfort working on‑site in Kampala and meeting clients in person.
• Good organizational and record‑keeping abilities with attention to detail.
• Secondary school completion; a diploma or degree in Business, Marketing or a related field is an advantage.
