IT Assistant

About the role

The IT Assistant supports daily operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the hotel's technology systems. Working under the IT Manager, the role ensures reliable and secure IT services for all hotel departments and contributes to smooth guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support to staff across all hotel departments and log tickets.
• Assist with installation, configuration and maintenance of Property Management Systems (PMS), Point‑of‑Sale (POS) and other hotel software.
• Monitor LAN, Wi‑Fi and internet connectivity; support switches, routers, access points and guest Wi‑Fi.
• Set up, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and other IT equipment; manage inventory.
• Support in‑room entertainment, meeting room AV setups and guest‑facing technology requests.
• Perform routine checks on servers, backup systems and assist with preventive maintenance.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidate with up to 24 months of relevant experience.
• Based in Kampala and able to work on‑site in the hotel.
• Works under the direction of the IT Manager.
