IT Techno Functional Manager

About the role

The IT Techno Functional Manager will lead end‑to‑end SAP implementation, configuration and integration across the SAP suite. This role bridges technical and functional expertise to ensure stable, scalable and compliant SAP environments while supporting business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead SAP configuration, customization and solution architecture for S/4HANA modules (SD, MM, PP, FI, QM) and SuccessFactors.
• Drive performance tuning, system upgrades, patches and proactive issue resolution.
• Partner with business users to deliver training, support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Enforce SAP governance, access controls, segregation of duties and change‑management processes.
• Define and execute data migration strategies, ensuring master data quality and zero data loss.
• Design, implement and maintain integration interfaces (EDI, API Gateways, ESB, SAP CPI) with external platforms such as tax authorities, CRM and banking systems.

Required profile

• Proven experience in end‑to‑end SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• Strong ability to work with business stakeholders and external vendors.
• Solid understanding of SAP governance, risk and compliance practices.
• Experience in data migration, reporting and business intelligence enhancements.

Required skills

• SAP S/4HANA configuration (SD, MM, PP, FI, QM) and SuccessFactors.
• ABAP development and debugging.
• SAP Fiori app customization.
• HANA database management.
• SAP solution architecture.
• SAP Cloud Platform Integration (CPI) and middleware tools (API Gateways, ESB).
• EDI integration and electronic invoicing/tax compliance (e.g., Uganda Revenue Authority EFRIS).
• Agile project methodology.
