Junior Business Analyst (OMIG)

About the role

The Junior Business Analyst will work closely with senior Business Analysts to support the implementation and transformation programmes at Old Mutual. This entry‑level position focuses on gathering requirements, documenting processes, and ensuring compliance with AML, KYC and sanctions policies.

Key responsibilities

• Support the identification and documentation of business needs, requirements and stakeholder expectations.
• Assist in gathering, analysing and documenting business and system requirements.
• Participate in meetings with business users to understand processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Help document functional and non‑functional requirements, process flows, use cases and user stories.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for development teams.
• Support review and analysis of proposed changes to ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Assist in coordinating communication between business users, project teams, vendors and ICT teams.
• Prepare and execute User Acceptance Testing (UAT) – develop test scenarios, test cases and record results.
• Provide first‑level business systems support, log and follow up on user issues and enhancement requests.
• Prepare user guides, SOPs and other system documentation; train end users on new or enhanced systems.
• Monitor support tickets, escalate complex issues and assist in monitoring system performance.
• Support compliance with AML, KYC, sanctions and data‑quality standards.

Required profile

• Ability to support compliance with AML, KYC and sanctions requirements.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Willingness to collaborate with business users, project teams and ICT staff.
