Marketing Manager

About the role

Britam Uganda is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the strategic management of its marketing function, enhance brand visibility and drive the development of innovative insurance products. Working closely with the CEO and cross‑functional teams, the role will shape and execute marketing strategies that meet evolving customer needs and support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic marketing plans for the company.
• Oversee all marketing initiatives across the business and ensure their effectiveness.
• Create promotional materials to support business‑unit marketing activities.
• Monitor market trends, evaluate opportunities and make recommendations.
• Lead research, development and improvement of new and existing insurance products and services.
• Develop product positioning, messaging and sales enablement tools.
• Plan and manage product launches and cross‑functional implementation.
• Maintain overall responsibility for brand management, corporate identity and brand growth.
• Manage the company’s digital footprint and media presence.
• Monitor competitor activities across digital, print and electronic platforms.
• Analyze loss accounts and recommend strategies to improve customer retention.
• Manage the marketing budget and ensure efficient resource utilization.

Required profile

• Ability to work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and collaborate across departments.
• Strong understanding of insurance market dynamics and industry trends.
• Experience in leading product development and launch initiatives.
• Proven capability to manage brand strategy and digital marketing channels.
