Digital and Content Marketing Trainee

About the role

TechBuzz Hub, which runs the GPAP Graduate Professionals Apprenticeship Program, is hiring a full-time on-site Digital Marketing Trainee in Kampala. The trainee supports social media marketing, digital marketing strategies, web analytics and online marketing campaigns. The program is described as a 2-year experience-in-3-month skilling program for graduates, career changers and holiday makers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage social media accounts
• Analyze web traffic data
• Create marketing content: write articles and blog posts, create social media content, conduct research, edit and proofread, and develop content strategy
• Coordinate online marketing efforts
• Collaborate with the team on various projects and communicate with team members and clients

Required profile

• A background and interest in social media courses is sufficient
• Relevant degree in information technology, communications, content creation, marketing, journalism or a related field
• Experience in startup environments is a plus
• Proactive, eager to learn about digital marketing trends, and able to adapt quickly to social media platforms
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
