Medical Sales & Marketing Executive

About the role

We are looking for a results‑driven Medical Sales & Marketing Executive to promote and sell medical equipment and consumables across Uganda. Based in Kampala, you will work field‑based, travelling up to 80% of the time to engage hospitals, clinics and other healthcare institutions.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell ICU, theatre and surgical equipment to hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and other healthcare providers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with doctors, surgeons, theatre staff, procurement teams and hospital administrators.
• Identify new business opportunities, generate leads and grow sales in assigned territories.
• Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and training sessions for customers.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and tenders, and follow up to close sales.
• Provide accurate product information and technical guidance.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and customer needs, reporting insights to management.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Support marketing campaigns, exhibitions and medical events.
• Deliver after‑sales support and maintain up‑to‑date sales records and activity reports.

Required profile

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Sales & Marketing or a medical‑related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in medical sales and marketing, preferably with knowledge of ICU, theatre and surgical consumables.
• Experience working in operating‑room environments is an advantage.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Self‑motivated, performance‑driven and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time and to be based in or relocate to Kampala.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general sales reporting tools.
