About the role
Palladium is seeking a National Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Technical Coordinator to lead AMR activities in Uganda under the Tackling Deadly Diseases in Africa Programme Phase 2. The role will support the implementation of AMR governance, surveillance, and laboratory strengthening within a One Health framework.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and oversee AMR technical activities with the country team, consortium partners and national government.
- Strengthen AMR governance and ownership at the national level.
- Improve surveillance, reporting systems and laboratory capacity using a One Health, gender‑equitable approach.
- Ensure technical quality of deliverables and promote sustainability beyond the programme life.
- Provide technical guidance, monitoring and reporting on AMR milestones.
Required profile
- Relevant experience in public health, AMR, or related fields.
- Demonstrated ability to work with multi‑sectoral stakeholders and government agencies.
- Strong understanding of One Health principles and gender/social inclusion.
- Eligibility to live and work in Uganda.
