Operations Production Manager

About the role

The Operations Production Manager will lead the daily manufacturing of polythene bags at Kabra Plastics Limited. You will ensure that production runs smoothly, meet quality standards, and achieve output targets while maintaining a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all stages of the polythene bag production line, including film extrusion, printing, cutting, sealing and packaging.
• Plan and allocate tasks to operators to meet daily and monthly production goals.
• Monitor machine performance, conduct regular quality checks, and address defects or waste.
• Maintain accurate production records covering output, downtime, rejects and material usage.
• Coach and train operators on procedures, safety and equipment handling.
• Coordinate with maintenance to resolve breakdowns and technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Prepare and present production reports with performance insights and improvement recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a polythene or plastic bag manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on knowledge of the full bag production process and quality inspection methods.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and develop production teams.
• Strong record‑keeping and reporting skills.
