Preschool Assistant Director – Lead Early Childhood Team

About the role

Cadence Education is seeking a passionate Preschool Assistant Director to lead a vibrant team of educators and create a safe, joyful learning environment for young children. This full‑time position offers the chance to shape early childhood experiences while driving program excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain a safe, welcoming preschool environment where children can learn, play, and grow.
• Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and children through regular one‑on‑one meetings.
• Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of 20–40 educators, ensuring high standards of instruction and care.
• Oversee financial performance of the program while maintaining quality and community engagement.
• Plan and execute marketing events and community outreach initiatives.
• Ensure 100% compliance with licensing, safety, sanitation, and all federal and state regulations.
• Direct hiring, training, and performance reviews to support staff development.

Required profile

• Proven success as an Assistant Director in a large preschool or early‑childhood setting.
• EEC Director II Certification and 3–5 years of hands‑on teaching experience.
• Meets state licensing standards, including background screening and fingerprinting.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree with 6+ months group childcare experience, or BS in Early Childhood Education, or Associate degree with 1+ year supervisory role and 2+ years group childcare.
