Product Manager - AI (Ubuntu Platform)

About the role

Canonical is looking for a Product Manager to lead AI initiatives on the Ubuntu platform. The position is home‑based and expects you to work within EMEA time zones, collaborating with global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the product development lifecycle, set priorities and goals for the AI product line.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing and sales to align on priorities and keep execution on track.
• Conduct market research, analyse industry trends and gather customer feedback to identify new opportunities.
• Communicate product vision, status updates and key decisions to stakeholders.
• Run usability testing, analyse feedback and iterate to improve user experience.
• Work with marketing, sales and support to develop go‑to‑market strategies, documentation and training.
• Oversee consistency in strategy and execution across multiple product teams.

Required profile

• Exceptional academic results at high school and university level.
• Strong interest in open‑source software and the open‑source community.
• Curiosity, continuous learning habit and a strong sense of ownership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or product lines while focusing on key priorities.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to four times a year.

Required skills

• Understanding of Linux and the broader open‑source ecosystem.
• Knowledge of computer architecture.
• Experience with application development.
• Familiarity with datacenters and cloud environments.
