Product Manager - Security (IoT - Ubuntu)

About the role

Canonical is looking for a Product Manager focused on security for IoT devices running Ubuntu. You will own the product lifecycle, work closely with cross‑functional teams, and help shape the future of secure IoT solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the product development lifecycle, set priorities and goals.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing and sales to align on priorities and keep execution on track.
• Conduct market research, analyse industry trends and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities.
• Communicate product vision, status updates and key decisions to ensure alignment across teams.
• Run usability testing, analyse feedback and iterate to improve the user experience.
• Work with marketing, sales and support to develop go‑to‑market strategies, create documentation and provide training.

Required profile

• Exceptional academic results at high school and university.
• Strong understanding of Linux and the open‑source software community.
• Knowledge of computer architecture, application development, datacenters, cloud or devices.
• Passion for writing about technology and continuous learning.
• Strong work ethic, sense of ownership and problem‑solving ability.
• Outstanding communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or product lines while staying focused on key priorities.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to four times a year.
