Production Supervisor

About the role

Kabra Plastics Ltd is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing activities at its Kamwokya facility. You will ensure that plastic products are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while meeting customer delivery schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily production operations to achieve output targets.
• Monitor process quality and enforce consistent standards.
• Allocate tasks to production staff, track performance, and provide coaching.
• Ensure safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment.
• Manage raw‑material usage to minimise waste.
• Maintain adherence to production schedules and on‑time order completion.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with health‑safety regulations.
• Report equipment breakdowns and liaise with maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Prepare daily production reports covering output, downtime, quality issues and material consumption.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and cut costs.
• Collaborate with Quality Control, Warehouse, Procurement and Operations teams.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Production Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 1–2 years in a supervisory role; experience in plastics manufacturing is preferred.

Required skills

• Knowledge of manufacturing and production processes.
• Understanding of quality‑control procedures and workplace safety practices.
