Production Operation Supervisor

About the role

The Production Operation Supervisor will act as the communication bridge between Chinese‑speaking management and local production teams at our facility in Kapeeka, Uganda. The role ensures smooth workshop operations by providing bilingual interpretation, handling production data and supporting daily supervision of staff.

Key responsibilities

• Provide real‑time Chinese‑English interpretation during meetings, trainings, shift handovers and daily briefings.
• Translate production documents, work instructions, safety notices and operational guidelines.
• Collect, compile and maintain daily production data (output, efficiency, downtime, material consumption, quality metrics).
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports, highlighting variances and supporting trend analysis.
• Assist in supervising workshop activities, coordinating with team leaders, operators and material handlers to keep workflow on schedule.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality and shift adherence; allocate tasks based on priorities and worker skills.
• Support onboarding and training of new staff, especially regarding work instructions and safety protocols.

Required profile

• Fluent in Chinese and English, with ability to translate technical and safety documents.
• Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data organisation and reporting.
