Program Officer – PROPEL Youth Employment

About the role

The Program Officer will support the implementation of the PROPEL youth employment program in Uganda, coordinating field activities, managing partner relationships, and ensuring effective delivery of interventions for NEET youth.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate day‑to‑day implementation of program activities across assigned locations and sectors.
• Support rollout of training, job placement, and enterprise development initiatives.
• Monitor progress, collect data, and produce regular reports for the Country Program Manager.
• Liaise with private‑sector partners, NGOs, and local stakeholders to align interventions with market realities.
• Contribute to market‑systems analysis and adapt program design based on findings.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 3 years of experience in youth employment, market‑systems, or development programming.
• Demonstrated ability to work with diverse partners and manage field‑level operations.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with a focus on results‑oriented delivery.
