Regional Data Coordinator – Uganda

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Data & Analytics Coordinator with 2+ years of experience to lead regional data processes, manage field trials, build data skills across teams, and translate field insights into strategies that boost farmer impact.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, set up, deploy, and manage digital survey collection tools (CommCare, SurveyCTO, Kobo) to drive efficient regional field data collection.
• Clean, structure, and analyze large field datasets using advanced Excel techniques to turn quantitative and qualitative insights into actionable strategies.
• Oversee regional data processes and R&D field trial operations while integrating feedback from Field Managers and back‑checkers.
• Train, upskill, and mentor regional teams and field staff on survey design, data hygiene, and data collection tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Applied Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in data and analytics, managing regional data processes, or field operations.
• Strong expertise in digital data collection tools such as CommCare, SurveyCTO, and KoboToolbox.
• Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel and data cleaning, including formulas, data hygiene, and structuring large field datasets.
• Proven capability in stakeholder management and capacity building, with experience training non‑technical field staff.
• Excellent problem‑solving, quantitative analytical, and team management abilities.
