Rust Open Source Contributor (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Rust Open Source Contributor to join our remote team on a contract basis. You will work on production‑quality code, perform thorough reviews, and create documentation for open‑source repositories that support our customers' projects.

Key responsibilities

• Write, review, and document high‑quality code in Rust and other languages.
• Design, implement, and optimise complex algorithms and system components.
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and technical challenges in existing codebases.
• Collaborate with other contributors and stakeholders to align deliverables with project goals and best practices.
• Maintain and enhance technical documentation to aid knowledge sharing and onboarding.
• Participate in code discussions, providing constructive feedback to improve overall code quality.

Required profile

• Previous experience working on large‑scale, distributed codebases.
• Familiarity with modern AI or machine learning systems is a plus, though not required.
• Experience with rigorous code reviews and contributing to software best practices.
