About the role
We are seeking a qualified and experienced School Counsellor to support students in the Junior School at St Mary's College. The role works within the Pastoral Care team to provide individual counselling, liaison, case management and referrals. The appointment is a fixed‑term leave replacement running from 19 October 2026 to 16 December 2027, Monday‑Friday 8:00 am‑4:36 pm.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver individual counselling to Junior School students.
- Coordinate liaison and case management, including referrals to external professionals and agencies.
- Provide advice and resources to teachers and parents.
Required profile
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment to promoting the Catholic ethos and mission of the College.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team focused on child and adolescent wellbeing.
- High ethical standards and discretion.
