About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic tutors to support students at Pioneer Junior High during after‑school hours. The role involves providing academic assistance in mathematics and English language arts to help students reinforce classroom learning. Work hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 2:25 PM to 3:25 PM and Wednesday from 1:25 PM to 2:25 PM. The district follows a non‑discrimination policy covering race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, and other protected characteristics.
Required profile
- Degree or progress toward a degree in Mathematics, English language arts, Science, Education, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Strong math and English language arts background, demonstrated by college transcripts.
- Letter of Introduction.
- Two current letters of recommendation dated within the last twelve months.
- Proof of high‑school graduation or equivalent.
- Current résumé.
Required skills
- Proficiency in mathematics concepts appropriate for junior high students.
- Proficiency in English language arts instruction for junior high students.
