About the role
CIFOR is looking for a qualified consultant specialized in silviculture to join its team in Kampala. The role involves providing expert advice and support on forest management practices within the organization’s projects. Candidates should possess the general education, knowledge and experience required for consultancy work in silviculture.
Required profile
- Holds a degree in a relevant field (e.g., forestry, environmental science, agriculture).
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Ability in one or more additional international languages is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience working in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, preferably within a non‑profit organization.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Values sharing information and continuous improvement in a cooperative, constructive environment.
