Tennis Instructor

About the role

Amentum is looking for a qualified Tennis Instructor to deliver professional tennis lessons for a US Navy program based on Diego Garcia, operating from our Kampala office. You will create a supportive learning environment for participants of all ages and skill levels.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct 20 hours of tennis lessons per week for individuals and groups.
• Teach fundamentals, techniques, strategies and rules to beginners, intermediate and advanced players.
• Provide personalized coaching on serving, volleying, footwork and match tactics.
• Organise drills, matches and conditioning exercises to improve performance.
• Maintain courts, nets and equipment to safety and performance standards.
• Distribute and manage racquets, balls and practice aids for each session.
• Prepare lesson plans and set up the facility for each class.
• Interact professionally with participants, give feedback and address concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Certified Tennis Instructor (USPTA, PTR or equivalent).
• Proven ability to teach players of varying ages and skill levels.
• Current certifications in Customer Service, CPR, First Aid and AED.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Kampala.
